Depends, is it fishing season?
Madam George’s giving a talk on the museum’s collection of vintage attire (and other weirdness).
The album & system went down very well. Nice to see 100+ people captivated by the music.
Was it Astral Weeks, apologies if mentioned before. What made you go all that way !
Yes it was Astral Weeks. It was originally released 50 years ago this month. Armagh Museum were tieing it back to Morrisons Belfast roots but also to an interest in a mysticism that he said was informed by the work of a Lurgan artist called George William Russell. The museum has quite an impressive collection of Russell paintings. Colleen Murphy was interesting and animated about the album in her talk beforehand & was even shedding a year or two during Ballerina. Incidentally the version she played was a Warner 7 Arts re-issue and did sound pretty good. I went because I’d supplied the amps & cartridge.
Sounds like a great event. Doesn’t she normally use AudioNote UK gear ?
I think she partners up with whichever local dealer is willing and who can supply a decent quality of system.
Popped up to Hampstead to collect a parcel and nosey around. Spotted this case for Coco’s next Phonostage project.
2.5mm thick copper and only £1199
Moved on to silver now
Perfect carmelisation
Attending daughter’s graduation faff.
Of course, we must have a grad/Dad pic
wow , a VERY proud moment !!!
Yes, more of this.
I have colleagues who moan about attending graduation. I cannot understand this, it is one of the more important milestones in the parent’s and student’s lives. I always really enjoy the events and hope to see my kids graduate if/when they go to University. I hope you all have a fantastic day and you take the opportunity to spoil her rotten. Any degree is to be celebrated, but a First merits pushing the boat out.
Have a wonderful day.
Thanks guys. Like any parent would be I’m very proud of her. There is a lot of faff between the university and the cathedral.
Then it’s off for a meal and some drinky-poos
Me too, and having to cajole and arm twist people into attending is a pain in the neck.
I never went to mine, no regrets
I managed to dodge it three times. Obvious hypocrite insisted his daughter went though
I’m going to try and practice what I preach but have a good 12 years to bow to the same.
I will go to the ball…
