Today I have mainly been V2.0

All 8 mortices chopped roughly ready for fine adjustment.

Haunched tenons cut, adjustments made and two sides glued and clamped up. Not that warm yet so I’ll leave it overnight to set.

Oak pegs made and I’ll drill and glue them in when it’s done.

Putting up new Velux blinds after eldest son managed to ruin some. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, lots of swearing and eventually they are in place and working. God I hate DIY. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Mainly resting but a couple of short walks were managed.

This photograph looks South from Calpe past Maryvilla towards the fleshy delights of Benidorm just barely visible inside the most southerly headland.

Driving back from Liverpool after a very pleasant few days visiting family and being tourists. We are talking about going back later this year. If I can wangle it around the time of Liverpool Psyche Fest, that would be a bonus :sunglasses:

I’m 99% sure the Psyche Fest is Dead. It didn’t happen last year and was moribund the year before. There is a replacement event in MCR but it is largely poundshop psyche. Luckily, mid-Sept to mid-Oct is a really good time for live music in and around Liverpool.

Oh, that is a shame, Ólan. Will keep an eye out for gig listings around the end of September.

I did manage to find an hour yesterday to rummage in Probe and Dig, plus I found another shop behind the radio tower with a selection of new and secondhand vinyl. Money was handed over :grinning:

We enjoyed LIMF in Sefton Park last year. Steflon Don was excellent

Sister Sledge are headlining this year

Is that the one in the bottom of the St John’s Centre? Loads of CDs and dvds down the back and all the vinyl near the counter? Lots of box sets at interesting prices behind the counter too?

Yeah, that’s the one.

Good shop that. They had a load of Abbey Road half speed remasters for £10 each when I was lastin there.

I’d already bought 7 LPs when I found that shop… so I refrained. Hopefully it will still be there next time.

Frame now complete. No room in my workspace to clamp it all up. So it’s indoors where it will live.

Now I’ll take the table top out to the workspace for a clean and sand then it’ll be refinished with food safe mineral oil.

Frame will be painted white when the glue has dried. Tomorrow’s job.

Travelling. From sunshine, relative warmth and only a choice of which walk or bike ride to do today. To dull, wet, cold Brexshit-ridden Britain. Oh fuck.
