Today I have mainly been V2.0

Sounds like you’ve had a half of shandy to me…

Lovely

Have you had a Spanish council tax bill yet? :rage:

Nope. Today’s early morning walk was nice though:

I’m so tired from all this exercise I might need another holiday :thinking:

Looks shit! I much prefer the torrential rain we have here thank you :rage:

Personally, I’m all for Runcorn but as times are tight I’m making do. I really miss rain, all this sunny weather is soooo monotonous.

Yesterday I walked to Farnborough and back (the pretty little village south-eastish of Wantage, not the town with the air show). It’s the highest village in Berkshire (don’t I know it !). The footpath from the village back to the Ridgeway passes an enormous wheat field which looked lovely in yesterday’s sunshine.

Maybe you can just see the deer ? By the time I saw them they’d seen or (more likely) heard me, despite the fact that I was behind a hedge. The world must be a noisy place for them.

Swinging the phone to the right you can see more of the wheat and, on the horizon, the spike of Stokenchurch comms tower, where the M40 cuts up into the Chilterns. I took the pic from roughly SU425828 which is a little less than 22 miles from the tower as the crow flies.

Nice, but I would like to see a few more hedgerows

Prairie

I took the pic because along the whole walk this bit was strikingly monochrome. The rest had a good deal of hedgery, although the horse country around Lockinge has a few open expanses too.

We’re (just) on the Downs here, so it’s a bit too undulating for that. But I take your point.

Now in to my 3rd week at LU and still they haven’t sorted out my logon. Ah well, I’m still getting paid while I sit on my FLA and do feck all

is it DXC who look after the IT there?

Get out while you still have a speck of sanity :crazy_face::crazy_face:

No idea. This is more down to general incompetence on behalf of the Commercial dept fucking around with the contract for the company I am employed by.
Having previously done 7 years at LU this does not surprise me one little bit. The level of sign-off on anything is incredible and it all takes time.

It was this or government offices and you know what I feel about that. My old boss asked me to come back because her planners were shite and struggling. She’s one of the very few people that I would have said yes to

Budgets are extremely tight now and getting tighter. Just getting simple bonuses authorised (when I say simple, I mean £25 Thankyous) is a monumental task these days.
Projects are currently getting priority over maintenance but I suspect the pendulum will swing back in the near future.

Anyhoo, enough about work, I’ve got annual leave to enjoy.

Yes , after boiling our brains out in Italy last year we don`t mind the cool rain much at all in UK holidays [ unless we were camping !]
