Wouldn’t it be more to do with their responsibility for the safety of spectators if they provided a viewing area?
Wandering around Lewes for the annual Artwave.
Just back from spending a week here with the family, we rented both houses to celebrate my mum kicking breast cancer in the bollocks.
Lots of surfing, gin and beer.
PS - No it’s not Runcorn
Shock, horror ! People expected to take responsibility ! Whatever next ?
To be fair, to achieve a large-scale demolition and let the public see it without multiple hideous deaths is beyond the skills of any ordinary human. You would have to be at the very least space-aliens from a civilisation aeons ahead of ours. You’d have had to have mastered technologies we can only dream of. In fact really it would be best if you had god-like abilities allowing you to control reality completely.
Or maybe you just need to be from Vegas, where in 1996 FFS they dropped an 11-storey 900-room hotel as part of the New Year’s Eve celebrations in front of an estimated crowd of 600,000 tourists. They had fireworks too. And they showed the whole thing on live TV.
And we wonder why foreigners don’t rate us any more.

The riveria side of Redcar, you flash bastard!!
Brilliant news about your Mum. I hope you all have an irresponsibly fun weekend.
Croyde ,saunton?
Croyde, overlooking the bay, was about a 5 minute walk to the beach.
Brother managed to get hit in the head by a surfboard on the second day, lost his memory and had concussion. He had a 10 second memory and kept asking if something had hit him over and over, weirdly also acquired short term Tourettes which his kids found highly entertaining.
On the Wednesday I took on a way too big wave, snapped my board leash (which is not easy) and came very close to drowning, just about managed to get myself into shallower water as there weren’t many people about but was very scary.
Where did you put your tent?
I was impressed by Llandudno the other week.It has retained a grandeur similar to Deauville or the Riviera which is surprising given where it is. We used to go every Easter in the late 60s (staying by the West shore) and had great fun exploring the Orme and dodging the trams. I think we were there when the cable car first opened.
Not seen enough to judge yet. It does have a striking promenade which needs more exploring. Locals and visitors alike are friendly so far (that may be a Northern thing).
Scousers have been the most obvious negative. Hopefully, only day trippers.
Leisurely day tomorrow. More walking/eating/drinking. Fun stuff starts Monday
So long as you dont bump into any antipodeans you’ll be fine
Strayan cunt walked into the pub we were in. We had to leave
