Sadly, I think Graeme is right about it being the less green option - glass is an immensely energy-hungry material to make/re-make, and unlike plastic its base material is the most abundant naturally-occurring substance on the surface of the planet. I’d love to think otherwise, especially as it has potential to improve the rural job situation, but suspect it’ll never make sense environmentally
I think the milk might be a bit fresher and therefore taste a bit better.
I grow my own vegetable milk in the back garden, i’m soooo green.
Perhaps we should be responsible for the container and the milk float (Tanker/mobile bottling plant) just refills the bottles and sticks a lid on.
What I do find odd is in places like France all they seem to use is UHT. 97% apparently compared to our 8%.
I wonder what the benefit of not having to store it chilled until opened accounts for.
I too have played Zelda.
Having worked in France this is why I drink coffee black
Indeed. Revolting shite !
I haven’t. Well, not since Link to the past. So no clue what the reference is.
We’ve had a milkman since we moved into our current house. The best thing about the milk is it’s unhomogenised - nowt better than the cream from the top of the bottle on your cereal or in your coffee! And I can spot the change of feed for the cows from the flavour and consistency of the milk. And it avoids Wiseman/Arla or any of the other monster dairy firms too
We had one for a while and then he disappeared , the new one couldnt get here before 9…had to cancel.
And then was flakey fucking shame and the winkles had to readjust to not fighting over top cream
We have one ‘milk and more’…fine until the fox came yesterday and ate my muesli, (well the fruity bits) ripping open the climate friendly bag and showering the rest over my front garden.
Box required .
Milk and More here too - brilliant. Delivered before 6 am every day and we can change order on line up to 9 pm.
Mine was milk and more,
Ours is Milk and More. Different individual milkmen come and go. When I was working v late in London I’d sometimes get home at 01:00 and find the milk already here. The current one struggles to make 06:30, when our alarm goes off, but is here before 07:00. We’ve very occasionally had later deliveries when the regular guy’s having a day off and someone else is covering.
