There’s a reason I devote so much effort to brutal self-abuse. And that is it.

Today I have mostly been cleaning the inside of the conservatory roof, cunt of a job
Clearing burnable material out of the workshop area to just leave the crap that needs to go to the tip. Could really do with stealing a trailer from somewhere.

that certainly not a Norfolk garage
I reckon you could fit about 6 Panameras in here
Or 2 Volvo V70s.
Not many of those in Norfolk as there is nowhere to garage them
Fucking hell, that’s gonna be a Piece Of Work to sort!
No problem. With pro help, this ? 2 hrs. That ? Lick o’ paint …

Collecting a *very heavy 19thC pump organ for a refurbishment project (waay in the future)
*very, very
The base unit
The bit that goes on the top (Hildur photobombing)
With the roll top lifted
I see the name above the keyboard. It didn’t come from Orkney did it ?

It was made in Canada for a Peter Maxwell, whether it’s the same guy, I’ve no idea. It says it was made for him and gives his address as Glasgow.
I am told it has been on Fetlar for over 100 years.
It works, but needs some (not a great deal) cosmetic refurbishment and also some work done to the internal mechanisms. Fortunately, I can do the former and my mate John, who comes here every year, was a professional organ builder, so he can do the latter.
I’m going to try to find out the history of it, should be interesting.
Not the same guy (Davies died in 2016) but lovely all the same.

It was in a house that my friend is buying here and she wanted it gone, so the previous owner of the property asked a couple of guys on the Island to get it outside and burn it!
When I found that out, I just couldn’t let it happen, so I said I would have it.
I would have hated to see it destroyed.
Can you bring it to lopwell 2021 for a sing song?
