Today I have mainly been V3.0

Tough on my trousers :yum:

Dry hopping the N.E.I.P.A.
Cutting Narelle’s hair and having mine cut.
Stabilising the batch of wine.
Cleaning down the brewery.
Cooking.
Now lazing and drinking.

Had the car washed at an ex petrol station. Super result , looks like new and only £6

I’ve got tickets for the box 1st November. Really looking forward to it. But then I liked the old museum too. Everything I’ve heard about the box has been positive. Seems our council can get it right sometimes.

It is really so much more than I expected. Something Plymouth can be proud of.

Took a drive out to Holbeach St Matthew this afternoon for an exploratory doggo walk.
As the crow flies it’s perhaps 6 miles from where we live, but thanks to the district’s many, many drains and rivers, and very, very few bridges, to drive it’s closing-in on 20 miles.
It’s a very quiet and lightly populated corner of an area that itself is notable chiefly for its spaciousness. It was so quiet this afternoon that a flock of starlings flickering over the marshes sounded like one big feather with a stiff breeze blowing through it… Made me wonder if they somehow instinctively coordinate their wingbeats?
Typically for the shores of The Wash, were it not for the enormous coastal-defence embankment, sea and sky and land would simply lose their definition as they peter-out in all directions - perfectly flat as far as the eye can see.
The Spring tide-flooded salt marshes on one side of the bank are - slightly giddily - a comfortable 10m above the height of the farmland on the other side. It has a real sense of the End of the World - not apocalyptically, simply as a terminus.

I’d love to show you some pics of what large amounts of fuck-all looks like, but I never remember my camera, so you’ll just have to imagine it. It goes something like this, but more sea-y:

I miss it sometimes.

I’m not sure I’d call it beautiful. But there really is nothing else like it.

Here are a couple of pictures (minus any atmosphere) as part of report which does call it a beauty spot

Best of local news ?

It’s quite unique, and it has a curious way of sucking you in, which is not entirely related to the soft mud underfoot, and I kind of struggle to imagine moving very far away now.

We were parked not far from Shep Whites, too! You’d think you could hit the Stump with a horseshoe from there - didn’t realise how close-in it was until we actually got there. You could see all along the Lincs shore as far as Skeggy.

PS: always got a room for you here when you’re pining :+1:

End of my first year as a scuzzy boss. Accountants tried to explain everything but long story short, we did ok :+1:

Wait! Wut? Really?

You are in-charge of something?

You?

I assumed you were in some sort of secure unit, or at least day care…

You’re not running the country by any chance are you? It would explain a lot…

My tag line shows I am epically qualified for leadership, however I do feel shame and embarrassment so that fucked my chances

(I am only in charge of me)

That’s great to know. My Dad suggested we go, so I’ll give him a thumbs up.

Me too

Back to work today after “Not going to Straya” holiday.
Surprisingly pleasant. A few things have gone on since I’ve been “away”. So much so that the staff were really glad to see me. No, REALLY glad.
It was a nice feeling.
The Area Manager was also quite welcoming. I think he missed me.

Sorry to hear this. Keep out of the way to the plague ridden undead troglodytes that pollute your place of work commuters. Safety first and all that sort of thing.

Fear not. I made it very clear this morning that I had no intention of leaving the office unless there was a major incident. Seems fair.

I take it you were equally clear that you didn’t want anyone else to come into the office either .
