Today I have mainly been V3.0

Just home from a very pleasant lunch at our local with Graeme @Valvebloke and his wife Claire.
Typically lovely pizzas and a few pints of Rebellion’s finest.

Went to Didcot preservation railway today, depsite shitty weather at times we had a good look around.

Called into the Loose Cannon brewery on the way home to buy some fresh Abingdon Bridge beer.

Indeed it was lovely, and a very welcome break in the middle of a windy and, latterly, wet walk. There is nothing quite like meeting up with other people in, er, person(s) !

I am just home. First walk this autumn I’ve had to finish by torchlight. I’m now off for a hot shower before dinner.

If that’s today, what time do your children get up?

Admittedly yesterday. Kids were up at 4:30 - fuck you daylight savings

…knackered. On top of the usual daylight saving lethargy, my Mother-in-Law rang us by accident at 2:00 a.m. My FiL is 89 and is very, very fragile so it we feared the worst. It turned out to be a false alarm but getting back to sleep proved very difficult.

I’ve just seen this. It makes me very sad that he’ll never play again:

Must be awful to suffer such a blow both physically and mentally. After all, his identity as a pianist and artist has been damaged by the stroke.
