Had a trip to the recently opened museum. I grudgingly admit the council have done a really good job. Something for all ages and when it can occupy the mind of an 8 year old for almost 3 hours job done. Then finished off Marleyâs first trip to Capn Jaspers.

Today I have been completely out-manoeuvred by 2 teenage girls, with the complicit assistance of their mother.
Theyâve obviously been in cahoots for some time planning this coup and had a proper answer for every one of my objections, including a full cost analysis for my inevitable and usually successful âWe canât afford itâ argument.
So, it appears that due to so many people losing their jobs or having reduced income, there is a glut of horses being put up for adoptionâŚ
Theyâve connived between them and worked out that it would be cheaper to adopt a horse and keep it at our local stables than it currently costs for them to go to their current stables and rent a horse eachâŚ

Oof! Still remember when FoL1 came round for the weekend (post divorce alternate weekend custody) and said âMummyâs bought me a horse!â.
Only later did I realise that âboughtâ did not equate to âpaid forâ.
Or the saddleâŚ
and I didnât realise that horses need new shoes every 4-6 weeksâŚ

They claim theyâre happy to share 
And they knew my arguments would be entirely blown out of the water if they could demonstrate that it is cheaper, so part livery of one nag actually is about 2/3rds of what theyâre costing us to rent a horse each twice a week.
Obviously, I know full well that all the savings and more will be eaten up by buying Gucci kit and treats and stuff, but I canât prove it, and they totally deny that such shenanigans will happen⌠
