Today I have mainly been V4.0 (Part 1)

I’ve mowed the lawn to avoid premature alcohol consumption. Now just discovered that I have to drop off the teenage daughter at a friend’s house, 18 miles away…:slightly_frowning_face:

Many an International at Twickenham is a hazy memory due to meeting at the Orange Tree in Richmond at opening time (11.00).

6pm in Brixton and it’s already getting pretty ugly.

London is going to be carnage tonight :grimacing:

I’m not sure I really fancy a beer. I might force one down. The second one will be fine, I’m sure

Good luck to @MGOwner tonight. I mean this sincerely by the way. There is no way I would be going into central London tonight if I were close enough to do so.

Look after yourself Terry :+1:. Fingers crossed any real trouble is picked up by the police before it gets to you, or is so pissed they miss the station altogether, or at least don’t arrive before you’ve done for the night.

Take care Terry, don’t be a hero.

Thanks for the thoughts chaps. It’s a shame my bosses didn’t show the same respect.
No Incident Management (only local)
No Event Planning (only what I had done)
Extended running of one of the three line through my station, leaving people here with nowhere to go
No addition staff available
No Police support
Station having to be closed 3 times due to overcrowding.
The fourth time long before the last “scheduled” train due to poor service intervals.
All made sweeter by a horror show of drunken behaviour.
Also, my Management colleague disappeared in the peak of the onslaught, to “do some paperwork”. I have made a formal complaint and he is now, hopefully, facing investigation
After we closed, no way for the staff (who worked like trojans) to get home. Staff Transport chaos
Nasty email fired off to my Area Manager
All as expected really

On a bright note - Nobody died !

At least you’re through it Terry, which is good to hear. Things should be quieter for a while at least now.

Was thinking earlier, would free underground trains on zones 1,2,3 and 4 between say 2pm til midnight have made things better or worse.

The one thing TfL needs right now is revenue. Free train rides will not be high on the list of priorities

Yes, was just thinking of ways in which staff could avoid pissed/coked up nutters with tickets
