Today I have mainly been V4.0 (Part 1)

Moobles.

Prepping the terrace to cook and welcome visitors to watch the river boat parade and fireworks later

Not sure flaming pizza’s could be classed as fireworks.

Seriously though I can’t think of better ways of spending a Saturday night, especially after the past 18 months.

Like that church type window by the gate.

Hampton court for a mooch. It’s been years since I went so I thought the kids might like it…

Fol 1 found the story of Henry and his wives hilarious, particularly as “he’s a bit fat and ginger”

Turns out there was a car show on, “would you like to upgrade your entry ticket? …. Err how much is it? “Only an additional £45 per person….errr no, I think we’ll just look over the wall.

Fairly satisfactory solution but I am left with the nagging feeling there may have been pens and or stationary that could and should have been liberated… life is bitter sweet

But could you have got 45 quids worth of pens, stationery and sweets, I think not.
You have to balance the entrance fee over probability of leaving with the feeling you are in front.

Golfing this morning, now watching Europe take a 3 1/2 to 1/2 lead in the first session of the Soldheim Cup

I was really impressed by Hampton Court when we visited a couple of years ago. I liked that subsequent monarchs didn’t really give a shit about their forbears’ legacy and would happily knock down, rebuild, build over or ignore earlier structures. It’s effectively 3 palaces for the price of one and I also hadn’t been aware at all that it had the stunning Versailles type garden leading down to the river. Almost too much for one day, even without the Astons.

Fully Charged had pens and sweets galore.

Entertaining cats who were demanding a huge amount of attention. Trying to force Google maps to show our entire 1600 mile journey on a single map

walking to St Albans (Louise’s idea), stopping at every pub on the way (my idea)

Nice one Wayne.
Lovely to be able to host an evening where the entertainment is laid on. :grinning:

Kings Road Chelsea, breakfast tat the Mona Lisa and drinks at the Cadogan Arms.

Tarted the old place up, downstairs packed watching the cricket.

Kings Road hasn’t changed, beautiful women and posers in cars. I was in the Skoda.

I have had more slow speed almost accidents down the Kings Road in the summertime than anywhere else.
It is normally slow moving or stop start traffic which can be quite dangerous when your eyes are on the pavement!

Wow ! The Cardogan Arms has changed a bit since our last visit circa 12 years ago.

Several months on from finishing the bench, I finally found some motivation to build a couple of drawers from 12mm ply today.
Never built proper drawers before, more involved and time consuming than I expected. Never the less happy with the end result.
