Today I have mainly been V5.0 (Part 3)

Thought I’d concealed all the Good Stuff well-enough, too!

Great to see you mate, glad the Landy show was a success too :ok_hand:

Dont you start, i started pronouncing it as such and was immediately corrected.

Belvoir is Beaver

Aparently the Anglo saxons couldn’t pronounce the French Belvoir.

Must visit our one day, looks gorgeous.

Yeah it’s pronounced ‘beaver’. It ain’t year 2 phonetics class though mate. :joy:

Dropping into a couple of our regular haunts this morning to say goodbye to a few people we have grown to know. All Greek.
Whether we will stay in touch only time will tell.
Some Ouzo and Raki was sunk.
Then into an executive mini bus (with a bar :grinning:) for the transfer to Chania.
Only enough time for a bottle of pre-mix G&T, sadly.

Arrived at 1600, it’s Sunday, half the shops and some of the bars are shut, but it’s fucking heaving.

Drink, walk, drink, eat, walk, drink, home early to chill on one of two balconies.

Rationalising shirts, woo.

I bought a couple more in Belfast last week. There’s no room in the wardrobe, so I removed a couple to make space. However every drawer I open to try to put the old ones away is full of … shirts.

I think I’m up to 11 to go now.

Also trying to get house maintenance and repair times and priority sorted.

The replacement back gate is already scheduled.
Repointing at least the back of the house.
Loads of jobs for the sparks.
Remove the extremely pervasive burglar alarm* that is at least 20 years old and hasn’t been turned on since lockdown.
Inevitable redecoration.

Just thinking out loud - don’t mind me.

* the previous occupants of the house were big fans of wires. Wires everywhere. A phone socket in every bedroom. A TV socket in every bedroom. Cable TV. Massive gay disco lighting rig in the garden. The burglar alarm is the last and probably most wiry thing.

Flu jab yesterday, and feeling a bit rubbish today.
Even my vape tastes rubbish

Finally contracts exchanged and completion/moving date is set for 17th Sept. Temp rented accommodation in Poole now agreed. Starts 1st October.

A fun excursion to Widecombe (in the centre of Dartmoor) for their annual fair.

I haven’t been before but really enjoyed it. A good mix of rustic crafts, nice food, vintage vehicles, ferret & terrier racing & mad people. Perhaps there could be more paganism but otherwise :+1:

fantastic scotch eggs

Nice Humber Sceptre 3L

Making arrowheads

A post war, Ron Kemp ‘Special’

A ‘bellow’ of Town Criers

I was convinced that Bill Maynard was dead :man_shrugging:

Perhaps it would be prudent to kill two birds with one stone and tie a few Morris men to a tree?

Bill Maynard may well have passed to the other side, but not necessarily Selwyn Froggatt
