Not surprised they freaked
When I get a COPD incident and I drop to 94 I know how I feel.
Are you coughing anything up?
If so what colour?

Going back through the generations of Google Street View of my house. Neat feature.

The main changes are the arrival of a car in 2017 and its subsequent disappearance last year, and the removal of a giant feral photinia during lockdown.

I can travel back in time to 2008 to my parents’ house & both cars are on the drive. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Quite a lot of stuff - it’s almost colourless, maybe tinged with a bit of green. No blood

The paramedic confirmed O2 sat at 93% (strangely the walk up to the surgery improves it a notch or two, but it soon sinks back). She also confirmed gurgly chest.

Everyone so far has asked if Ifeel hot. No, if anything I feel a bit shivery. Ear thermometer says 39.0C though (102F in old money) which is borderline ‘raging fever’ apparently. This lot all points towards chest infection. I’ve just dropped the first of 5-days worth of Amoxicillin. Fingers crossed …

No prednisolone?
Steroids and antibiotics is the normal go to for me.
In fact I have a course of each at home all the time so I can get started straight away while trying to get an appointment.
Hopefully the Amoxicillin will sort you out.

I’ve got some dexamethasone in a drawer somewhere. One of Claire’s doctors once said “It’s always good to have some steroids within reach because, well, you never know when you might need a pick-me-up. Just don’t come off them cold-turkey”.

Not my usual gig tonight… what a fighter this boy was.

If you do take steroids you need to closely monitor your blood sugars.
I had to get a monitor and substantially increase my insulin dosage.
I know you are Type 1 and probably aware but thought I had better mention it.

Take care Graeme, hope it settles down soon.

This week has been the culmination of 6 months planning to bring a multinational team from across Europe including Scandinavia, and South America together to meet face to face for the first time and do some team bonding, personal development and a bit of actual work.

It’s gone great and now I’m finally home, winding down with some wine, and looking forward to watching the Villa hopefully progress to the quarter finals of the CL :crossed_fingers:
