U12 girls football practice this morning with Amy.
The calm before the storm…
I’ll have a word with Rega, nothing is adjustable, you even just shove the counterweight all the way up to a stop.
Luckily it has tone controls, things get well out of control when you turn the loudness on.
Mostly current stuff but I will eventually unpack our records after the house move so she can dig around and see if she can find anything older she is into.
I’ve got the current MGK Album that she is welcome to, gratis, if she is into that.
Not sure what point you are trying to make
Seems straight forward enough
Lemon. It’s not not that, it’s like wtf.
Didn’t see that one coming on a Saturday morning with the toast and tea.
At the Wide Awake festival in Brockwell Park.
Yard Act currently on the main stage.
They’re still building the stage that’s supposed to be hosting most of the acts I was planning to see. Whoops.
Still, I’ve got some cold suds.
Right, getting sorted out. Billy Nomates no longer clashes with Comet Is Coming.
This is a good thing if you squint a bit.
Packing.
Our second Local is having their leaving do + host’s 40th, and we’re going.
Which is actually kinda sad.
And I’m designated driver today…
Which is definitely sad.
Soon there will be no pubs at-all.
Has she come to her senses?
Har de har!
Telling Singapore Airlines to “TAKE MY MONEY !!”
Driving. Northumberland to home - 300 miles almost exactly.
We went up on Thursday and on the northbound leg I normally try to run the petrol tank down a bit before leaving so I’m quite close to empty when I arrive. That way I can buy the max amount of cheap petrol from the supermarket stations that serve the poor Northumbrians, rather than having to shell out for the same stuff flogged down here to the Thames Valley loadsamoneys.
Todays prices for ordinary unleaded were:
Morrisons, Morpeth: 172.9p/l.
Sainsburys, Didcot: 164.9p/l.
WTAF ?
Still, at least we didn’t run out on the motorway. One of the services (can’t remember which - Scotch Corner maybe ? Or Ferrybridge ?) was 192.9p/l.
I have to be up at daft o’clock tomorrow to get to Audiojumble in Tonbridge, Kent.
Visiting a Classic car meet today
Just a few of my favourites
Loads more pictures if there’s interest happy to add them
Please do
Mods. There lots do I add here or start a separate classics thread ?
Taking FoL2 to see a replacement car for the 51 reg Yaris that she has been driving since passing her test 5 years ago. She liked the new one (62 reg Toyota Verso-S), so she bought it. Dad has now cleaned the old one (St Neots birds seem to have particularly adherent shit) to get it in a state where it can be sold.
Use the I want (maybe once) thread.
