Today I have mainly been V5.0

I thought they were excellent, we didn’t exactly have great seats, but you could hear everything, even decent stereo :grinning::notes:

Being told that daughter #2 has fixed her wedding day for next year. In Vegas!!!
Mrs M and I have already decided that 3 days in LV will be enough. We’ll then head for Kentucky - she for the horses and me for the whiskey. Still undecided whether to road trip or fly to the nags and booze.

Kentucky is a lovely State. It would be a long drive. But, New Mexico is spectacular and you could do a lot of Route 66.

Anne and I got married on Boxing Day in the Luxor Hotel - it was a laugh and a great experience and no bickering families to do our nut in. :ok_hand:

I had a superb meal in The Luxor. I stayed there for a few nights in 2000 with an ex.

Might depend on the time of year. It can get hot in the summer. I drove north to south once through Kentucky (Cincinnati OH to Oak Ridge TN, but mostly on I75 in KY) and that was lovely. But it was February. You can be very quickly into very rural country as soon as you get off the interstate.

We had our wedding meal in the restaurant and it was superb as well. They made a great fuss of us as we had just got married it was brilliant especially for Anne.

I know we take the piss out of Americans at times but they can take you aback with their kindness. When we came out of the wedding chapel we had to walk through the main casino floor to get back to the room and everybody just clapped and congratulated us - it took us totally by surprise.

Under the supervision of Lord Boots, I’ve been doing Garden Engineering and Maintenance. Shit loads of weeds removed. And grass. I decided to clear it of ugly plants a couple of years ago. We now have colour almost all year round! Got some insect friendly stuff too! And some herbs. And stingers as I intend to use them for soup.

Clearing out huge numbers of redundant receipts, limited company paperwork, my mother’s estate etc. Making Arthur Andersen and Enron look like amateurs in the document disposal game.

Also hit paydirt on the paperclip front - I’ll never need to buy another one.

On my way to Unst to buy 17 records and a set of drawers, desperately hoping that the drawers will fit in the car!

It’s going to be touch and go, especially as I have the girls in the back.

It would be a bit pants if they don’t :slightly_smiling_face:

They will fit if I put the back seats down but then I’ll have both dogs in the front with me. I’m hoping to avoid that!

(I see your “joke”)
