Today I have mainly been V5.0

Having a very positive experience with the local GP surgery.

Finally (after ~3 years) plucked up the courage.
Phoned up.
6th in the queue.
Waited about 4 minutes.

“OK, send me a photo and I’ll phone you back”

Phoned back around a minute after I hit Send.

“Come in at 3.50”

3.50: “Yeah, that’s pretty grim”, prescription, referral.

With all the gloom that’s around I really can’t fault that.

I couldn’t immediately place the GPs name. He was excellent and super efficient.

Just googled it - Afghan.

Bloody love me some multiculturalism I do.

Jinxed myself, looked at the updated stuff list on Definitive Audio and thought about a spare set of 300b’s or even the LV version of the KR 300b’s.

And then just sat down to listen to Waltz for Debby and something went pop. One 300b filament has gone and no sound at all. Tried cheap spare set, all filaments light, the EY500 and EZ80 rectifier’s looks OK although of course might not be. This is in my Border Patrol PP 300b.

Call to Kevin in the morning, and take it from there.

Hope that is not too spendy.

Indeed, hopefully it will just be a new set of rectifiers and/or something else low cost and not the massive choke.

Just got out the spare/summer class D amp, and the speakers and pre are all OK.

Having to pass on Shetland’s attempts to keep me on the islands. A glorious day with stonking scenery around Northmavine.

Then passing Sumburgh

and Fair Isle

Do you know that there’s a Red-footed Falcon on the top deck of your ferry?

Get to see it, if you possibly can!

Looks like you have had a great trip Dave

If there is then I can’t see it from the rear lower deck and they’ve closed off access to the upper outside areas.

I’d be climbing over the gate to see that!

From our WhatsApp group

Looks like a night for it something is tripping my RCD and all roads are leading to Rome it’s just which emperor…

Hope it turned out to be something straightforward.

I am super jealous :rage:

Couldn’t see it this morning, it might have jumped ship on Orkney or before we docked in Aberdeen, or just have found an out of the way roost.

Not got to the bottom of it yet got to midnight and I’d had enough , no gaming for the lad till I get home this evening

Back in business with using my spare set of 300b’s and have re-biased it.

Kevin was very helpful and was going to arrange collection and repair. However I thought I would take another look in the cold light of day and found one of the fuses in the power supply had blown, forgot it has two.

One of EH’s has gone though so working with Kevin on something a little better to replace them.

Having a bizarre conversation with my work IT helpdesk - for some reason my cursor in MS Office is white (the arrow and the ‘I’ icon) which obviously makes it invisible against a white background and a massive pain to type and edit docs. They don’t seem to be able to change it to black.

Try this, maybe?
