Today I have mainly been V5.0

I did it aged 11 or so in junior school as part of an outward bound trip, but that was up the way we came today, then straight back down the Fox Path (think that’s the name), so a much shorter walk.

Nice walk.

We’ve climbed nearly all the Snowden hills when we had our caravan sited near Beddgelert.

Missed Tryfan unfortunately and Crib Goch for obvious reasons (fear being the biggest).

Have you got the John and Anne Nuttal Mountains of England and Wales books.

Brilliant.

I don’t, but I’ll see if Sarah has it. Although she’s mostly running these things because she’s mad.

I’ve done Snowdon via the Crib Goch, and the Glydwrs, but that’s it at the moment. Will try and get through a fair few more this summer now I’m spending more time there.

The Nuttalls give routes that enable you to do all the mountains in the shortest number of walks.

Some are pretty hard on the legs.

A nice hill. My first roped mountaineering lead in the 80s, and I’ve walked it a couple of times.

Happy birthday

Nobbing about - the Olympic torch went past this morning but forgot my phone - it was Bastile day yesterday with a bunch of fireworks but I forgot my phone and today I saw a dog that looked suspiciously like patch trying to fuck a dead pigeon - lots of roads closed and havoc due to olympics / torches / other stuff I don’t get but it’s still been a blast

One of the most notable things about Paris is the fact they didn’t go American in terms of consumption. The above were in an average street - most streets seem to have them.

Here a Parisian street entertainer tells the fable of how Patch fucked the last sheep in France… I had no idea Patch was the basis of Pepe le Pew??? Undoubtedly a national hero over here - I think he was most active during the resistance ???

Popped in to see Fred at Sam records - he’s such a cool guy - managed to listen to some of his forthcoming releases but I can’t post them here as I filmed them.

A crap example of something clearly apparent here - street artists give more of a shit - not just tags / stickers or basic pasted media - these guys are framing shit and placing them in inaccessible spots - other examples were intricate pieces encapsulated in resin to make tiles which are then
Bonded all over the show…

We do food so wrong in the UK.

We expect stuff when it’s not in season and wonder why it tastes of water when we buy it.

More nobbing about - the Note Dame Music bar with some 301s we did was such a nice spot, the guys running it were very welcoming (they opened the place just for us) the JBLs were filling the space pretty well - I guess it would sound different in there when it’s packed but sitting and listening in a bar was a pleasure - Mrs mws was quite pissed by this point

Looks a great trip

Changing thrust pads in the 401. Someone had cobbled one with a fixed ball bearing, and raised to the right height with washers. No idea why you would do that.

Do all those bottles have someones name on them, proper jazz kissa style?
