I almost feel sorry for the next Tory Leader because they will inherit a shitstorm of issues and due to the brain-washing of the Brexit sheeple, have no realistic way of solving any of them. Maybe better to wait until after the next GE, hopefully in Opposition.

While I hope you’re right, there has been a remarkable swing towards the extreme Right in a great many nations, no matter what their previous alignments, and it shows no sign of weakening, quite the opposite.
There’s a lot of underlying reasons for it - most notably the far-right’s insidious and pervasive talent for spamming disinformation and lies across all social media platforms, but I suspect a significant one in the UK is the rapid loss of people who remember the 1930s and 1940s…

I mean, it makes sense if you are top of the Tory tree - if you want to keep wages as low as possible, you want to make sure supply of labour outstrips demand. But you cannot allow immigration to increase because of the racists.
