Bit of an odd one this.
Got a mate who wants to buy a turntable for his partner who is into her vinyl.
Deck needs to be “beautiful” (eye of the beholder I know)
As plug and play as possible. Think AT-LP5 type stuff but better looking
Budget basically unlimited
Have at it!
Any idea if plugging into a traditional system or into some Sonus/Bose type setup.
Trying to find that out. Assume the latter for now.
Not sure if it covers the beauty angle though
Top down from Richer Sounds in semi attractiveness and cost.
If happy to have external phono/phono to bluetooth Gyrodec has to be the best shout on looks.
Thales TTT-Compact II Reference Turntable
The battery pack of the newest generation (peak capacity 100 W) offers 12 hours of listening independent of the mains supply.
How about one of the older B&O turntables? Still look syylish.
That 1500c is a nice looking deck. Very clean
Pour Madame, Torqueo Audio Marsala
Hang on he’s pivoting already
The Thorens TD1600 is worth considering. I like mine.
In no particular order;
This- phono on board, comes with everything, just attach to RCA input;
The same but German
The same but in money laundering;
In terms of sound and looking good it’s hard to beat
Different finishes available, plug and play
Think he’s going to go full dealer experience now.
A breeze to use, sounds decent and a pedigree that includes featuring in the Museum of Modern Art
