Twitchers Revisited

That’s one mean-looking bird!

Turkey vulture, I love them. You always see them circling on rubbish day.

Some great pics there @edd9000

All from a walk around Circle B Bar reserve this morning.

Stunning! Love the blue jay :blue_heart:

I haven’t done much birding in North America but I don’t see a Blue Jay amongst those pics.

If you mean this:

It looks like a Grackle to me :man_shrugging:

Possibly a Boat-tail Grackle.

Yeah, that’s what it looks like to me.

The Florida sub-species has a dark eye (like yours) whereas outside of the area they have a pale yellowish eye.

Nuh-uh - no more facts for me

There were a few females too but I didn’t like the photos

I think these might be Palm warblers.

Lol, pinchbeck news…

How long before dRuMpf renames Bald Eagles as American Eagles, even though Biden (kind of) got there before him??

Basically a seagull with an excellent PR person :ok_hand:

Turkey vultures > Seagulls

Came across them recently for the first time - apparently they have insane stomach acid, at ph 1, vs a range of 2-4 for almost all other birds.

Which they projectile vomit on threats.
