You might need to explain to that one he’s not meant to be watching-back - esp. not when it’s the dead-eyed stare of a hungry mini-theropod :t_rex:

Courtesy of my mother. Siskins, so I’m told. (I thought they were green finches, because I am an ignoramus).

Apologies for the poor quality shot - taken through the kitchen window.

Can anyone help me identify this? I think it might be a Chiff Chaff but I’m far from certain.

Thanks

Thanks Paul.

I knew few had some around but I’d only ever seen them feeding on the ground before.

Horrible conditions - F8/9 SW and frequent heavy showers but I managed to find a Hen Harrier at Dullens, this afternoon. Presumably the same bird I saw in that area on 19th Feb.

A scarce bird here - I’ve seen 5 individuals on the island in nearly 10 years.

Crap light and the bird was a long way off so the pics are very grainy but at least I managed a few record shots.

Catholic gull.
Always fish on Friday.

The Hen Harrier was at Dullens again today, always distant, unfortunately.
