Always loved the look of this place just around the corner (you can see its grazing land from our house and its about 4 properties over to the right of us).
Always wondered how gopping the interior would be 
Hel thinks that once we took down all the frilly curtains and the owners furniture was removed it wouldn’t be that difficult to turn it from ‘cuntry’ style to town, but I’m not convinced…

Too much contrived rustic timber inside. Shame because it’s an impressive structure and plot.
One of those times when the decor (husband has a small alcove for the office and everything else is doilied into abstraction) gives a fair insight into the relationship of the owners.
All the rustic effects would have to go and so would that kitchen.
Decor wise its the spit of Hel’s parents place which she’s due a share in the proceeds of some time this year. Hopefully that will be long after this one has sold otherwise I can seriously see Hel wanting to use that to move there.
Personally I can’t see enough of an upgrade to the size of music room so it would probably be the dogs that would get the most out of the move, they’d love the outside space.
I think faux old beams and similar things can work, but they have to be done very carefully, and they rarely are. I think in part, you need to keep a pretty contiguous style throughout the house, both internally and externally, otherwise it just gets too jarring.
