Or Jaywick.
That’s one of the posh bits. No burnt out houses.
Place is pretty forgotten.
Have something proper to complain about (in a new language)
We inadvertently spent a couple of nights at a caravan park in Jaywick about 12 years ago. It’s such a bizarre place, massive amounts of deprivation, addiction and alcoholism next to a beautiful sandy beach.
It needs serious intervention and money to make a difference, sadly no chance of that.
Troo dat
Offer accepted on the other house
Is this the project ?
Nope my other house which I put up for sale.
Had my offer accepted at a place I saw last week
Great news.
Of course the, uhh, downright nosey want to know whereabouts.
Denton Village, I will bore you stupid with the details tomorrow!
As @Jim informed me via PM exchange the other day it has a listening room about the size of a Norfolk garage
Adequate
Where do you park the porker ?
Congratulations. Socially distanced bake off next year ?
Definitely
Good news
So weirdly, talking to @Kevin yesterday about his impending house purchase seems to have spurred my wife’s interest in moving and today she’s been hitting the web sites.
She’s found a nice conversation pit for @stu
however it’s under offer, and in Leeds.
The other more interesting one is in St Leonard’s. Does anyone have local experience of this area?
Is it the stabby end of town? Ideally I need @charliechan to uncloak
Also, do any of the resident lawyers, property speculators etc. know when CGT on second homes kicks in? Is it on day one, or do you get 6 months grace, or what? I guess it depends on the price / value actually going up. I’m pipe-dreaming about buying now and then maybe taking a year, a couple of years to move fully.
Thanks in advance for the storm of random ill-informed opinion
There is a resident St Leonard lurking hereabouts. I’m more inland, a bit NW of StL
Beware Guy. There’s your reason not to buy right there.
