We’ve found a nice place in an elevated spot just off the centre of town which has fantastic views across the park, river and beyond.
Hel offered me the bigger lounge as music room and the garage is 36’ by 10’.

For those bored on a Sunday afternoon, this is / was the one we were looking at in St Leonards.
It’s 100% “us”, basically pretty similar to where we are now even down to the furnishings (although monopitched rather than a genius flat roof 
), but it’s probably 2 years off the right time and I’m not particularly confident in the area.

I have a friend that moved from London to St Leonards. He said it was a shithole, but never gave any detail about why. I’ve never been there.

Our place is a PITA at times, moneypit for sure, but if we hadn’t done it 5 years ago, there’s a fighting chance we never would, and it would always have been a bigger mistake to go to our graves wishing we’d owned our dream house and not having done so.

Hel has talked about nothing else but the house for 4 hours non stop now.
However as she’s said that “oh your horns will look good in that room”, and “there’s plenty of room for those bake off thingies” , then I’m happy to keep listening
