Ugh, estate agents

To buy, yes. To heat?

Piece of piss

No chance, I’ll be carried out of this place in a wooden box

Multi fuel fire in the living room. You can get a license to dig peat on Unst for about £25/yr so if you’re fit enough you could heat it for next to nothing.

The Wicker Man - The Final Cut was released in 4k yesterday to celebrate the 50th anniversary

Is the nightlife on Unst as racy as that on Fetlar?

What happens on Unst, stays on Unst. I’ve heard there’s a weekly pagan rave at Bobby’s Bus Stop though.

Officially, yes…

Is the lifestyle as car-dependent as it looks / sounds?

I would say so.

There’s a pretty decent bus service which connects with the ferries for trips to Lerwick and it isn’t too far to walk to to a local shop, cafe or pub but a car would be desirable.

End game place for a few here

Nice place, right up my street. Location - nope.

There’s an art deco place like that about 2 miles away which I’ve been hoping that becomes available but with no luck so far. Its in a bigger plot and more rural. My death threats through the post haven’t seem to have worked so far…

Shit area?

I want to see trees, water and open space - not this -

There is a few art deco houses dotted about where I used to live.
Scandalous that the brittall windows have been ripped out of them

Indeed but guessing that’s near impossible to get an art deco place without paying millions

Art deco houses are nice from the outside but I don’t like those slit windows from the inside

By the standard of that London, that is positively leafy. Although your main view most of the time round there will be the rear of the car in front waiting for level crossing barriers to open.

Like the bathroom suite. Avocado bidet for all the win.

Art Deco ‘steamboat’ design pad I want is here, sadly obscured…
