Velvet Vortex ultrasonic vinyl cleaner

What do you use for your rack?

I have a VV in a box awaiting assembly, which requires time, which requires an absense of quillions of other tasks I am supposed to complete

But one day…

Looks like a Knosti rack to me?

It’s the rack that came with the Knosti manual record cleaner that I used years ago. You can buy the racks on their own but they’re dear:

I was about about to go the supermarket to look for a washing up rack which would only touch the labels when the wife kindly pointed out that I already had one…

edit - too slow…

Christmas is coming get your order in

I would just like to add my thoughts on the Velvet Vortex. I have just started using mine this week and can report that it works very well. My method is 6 minutes in the Velvet Vortex using the recommended fluid mix, then I rinse using distilled water before a quick vacuum with my Moth RCM. Most have been cleaned with my Moth before, I was a champion of the Walker Audio Prelude cleaning system, and while it definitely got the discs clean, oh dear did it take a long time ! As many users have found, the Ultrasonic method gets your records even cleaner than the wet vacuum method, I can now confirm this has been my findings too. So a big "Thank you " to Spider on producing this fine, cost effective cleaner, I hope other record playing members will consider this machine, and finally, I have no connection to Spider, just another Happy Customer !

Nice work. Genuinely delighted to see people making a great product that works well and isn’t take-the-piss expensive. Long may it continue.

This one is off to Germany.
Just so you all know they will do three at a time if you want to do that.

Latest feedback on Vevet Vortex

I have now cleaned about 300 records with great results. I was particularly impressed with some old classical discs I did recently, they sound so much better after their ultrasonic bath !

Keep up the good work, I will do my best to spread the news !

Good to see VV doing its bit for the UK’s export-led march to the sunlit uplands Tim ! Do we have a trade deal with Canada ? Did it matter  ?

So now that IPA is unobtainable, cleaning records could get very expensive.

So I wonder if now is the time to diversify and manufacture Ventilator machines?

Cleaning records with a ventilator how would that work.

Wire a vacuum backwards.

What voodoo is this machine Tim? I’m listening to my 72 press of rise and fall of Ziggy stardust and it is now noise free!! What a machine! Thanks for bringing it over, made my lockdown !!
