I get noise through the left channel on my hifi when I wake the PC. It only lasts a minute or two and then disappears. It’s like old fashioned radio static. Anyway, the culprit is one monitor and before you say replace it, I am looking for a 4 gang filter to keep all the pc gear behaving.

I forgot to mention, the only reason it’s through one channel is that the mono blocks are plugged into separate wall sockets and the pc stuff only affects that one (audibly at least).

One of these unless you want to spend a wedge, extra two sockets though, don’t think they do a four way.

I’m slightly surprised that only one 13A socket is affected. It might just be worth getting a sparky to run a routine check on the wiring integrity.
Probably RFI rather than mains noise.
Good advice and I do know the house needs rewiring. It’s Victorian that’s still got red and black cabling. This is a short term, make do and mend thing.
As mentioned I have narrowed it down to one monitor. If I take it out the loop we have inky blackness.
