From a very early age, that cloud formation has reminded me of a sheepskin coat lining. When I was a nipper, I think I used to sleep on one like this:
I think it looks a bit like fresh snowfall, only upside-down.

Btw, if you’re in Wales and particularly if you’re wearing wellies, don’t tell folk you slept on sheepskin.

Folklore tells of Woodcocks awaiting this moonlit night to cross the seas and arrive in big numbers on our shores (they often do)
It was believed Goldcrests journeyed with them, riding on their backs (they don’t)
