Venus showing well due south-west this evening if you have an elevated/sea/fens view 
From a very early age, that cloud formation has reminded me of a sheepskin coat lining. When I was a nipper, I think I used to sleep on one like this:

Final super moon of the year. AKA “Woodcock moon”
Folklore tells of Woodcocks awaiting this moonlit night to cross the seas and arrive in big numbers on our shores (they often do)
It was believed Goldcrests journeyed with them, riding on their backs (they don’t)
