ideally 14 stone but I think that may be a challenge, when I left the army I was 13.5 stone but that was with an hour in the gym and a fast 5mile run every day.

… and a few years ago. It ain’t called ‘middle-age spread’ for no reason.
I’ve managed to knock off over 33kg since i started on Feb. Another 6kg to go over a couple of months and I’ll start tailing off the dose rate over the following 6 months. The aim is to get down to under 100kg and maintain it. Started at 147, currently at 114kg. If i acheive this then i would have lost a whole RmsShipbroker, the universal weight loss comparator.

The whole thing is a disaster for bespoke tailoring. People you don’t even consider to be fatties are getting on it. It’s a complete nightmare.

Absolutely not. Alterations get in the way of everything and they are pretty much always unsatisfactory. You can’t adjust a finished garment like you can through the fitting stages. It’s very frustrating to get something right, and then have to adjust it and it not be as good.
I have had two this year where I have had to take the coat completely to pieces once I have finished, but not delivered it. Until its gone and paid for it’s down to the tailor. Another guy lost 22½ kilos and asked me if I could alter his suit which is 18 months old. I could adjust the trousers but not the coat, so he has had to order another.
It isn’t just horizontally, people change, it’s vertically too. You lose that much weight, your entire posture changes.
It isn’t just me, the entire trade has a problem with it. I have a small client base, and it’s tough, but the bigger houses on Savile Row are having serious problems getting work done. The impact of these adjustments are affecting the lead times on their new suit orders, because the final little touches to things have to go through the same people as the horror show injection shit. It’s a mess.
