This has been on ‘the must buy’ list fer a coupla’ months. Bought it direct from Slam Productions yesterday. Particularly looking forward to this as the two Leonid & Nick Vintskevich albums I already have are superb. Slam Productions is another interesting Brit Jazz label I’ll be delving into more fully too. I have a few albums already which seem consistently good so far.
“Slam Productions” is owned by Brit Jazz luminary & sax/flute/reeds player/composer & producer George Haslam. Quite a back catalogue fer me to explore & plenty of albums that have been really well reviewed.

I’ve only recently started to explore the pairing of Waldron/Lacy, this’ll be my third album, but they are a strongly established pairing, having recorded/performed many times together. This is a live concert from Oxford in '93 with George Haslam as the credited recording engineer. Slam Productions currently have this on special offer fer only £5 & a further 15% off if you buy two or more albums + £1 towards postage costs per order
Here’s the AllMusic review, there’s also a complimentary review in the Penguin Guide to Jazz. I’ll delve in my copy fer a squiz later. LOL may dig out my back brace later. http://www.allmusic.com/album/lets-call-thisesteem-mw0000570222

Cos he was ace. Did you order the Ltd edition prints too?
Yep.
Cool.
Jackie bought this for me today:
Brian Jonestown Massacre: Third World Pyramid
On horrible plum coloured vinyl. The music is actually OK on first listen.
Love Brian Jonestown Massacre
Meh
What would you know ?
every new Bowie compilation brings this to mind
Know what you mean but wasn’t it ever thus ?
Guess so, now with added vinyl, special, coloured, re-mastered limited edition appeal.
Not to forget 140 Gm, 180 Gm, 200 Gm, gatefold, free postcards, re-mixed, re-mastered, sleeve notes by…, Uncle Tom Cobbley and all.
Mugs aren’t we ?
oh yeah, I recently blew 100 notes on this
Not much

All second hand from Carnival Records in Malvern yesterday.
Entertainingly the David Holmes shows up as unavailable on CD at Amazon, and the marketplace chancers are asking a mere £393.10
