What albums have you bought lately?

Basically, you’re the arch PY fiend.

I’m going to be more selective now.
I’ve never spun records for cash, but I may weed some at some point. May as well get my cash back and more!

And Deep Distance, and Great Pop Supplement.

I can hardly talk, gazing at the stack of new, unplayed vinyl in the corner, and realising I have at least as much again on back order.

Other than PY I have (almost) bought nothing since before Xmas. Previously I was buying 4 or 5 LPs a week at a minimum.

One of the problems with that is after a year you have c 200 records to find somewhere to store.

I used to collect classic Marvel comics from the age of 10, but one day I looked at the 30 boxes I’d got piled up in the spare room and realised how far down the rabbit hole I’d gone. Never ‘collected’ anything since. I buy music but if I don’t like it then it goes.

I used to play Magic the Gathering pretty seriously at one point. It’s slightly terrifying seeing cards I traded at around the £10-£15 marker now going on eBay for north of £500 a pop.

Good effort! I’m running out of space so I’m being selective. I also have been listening to TIDAL and my CD rips much more recently.

I think a cull will be necessary before I sort out the storage proper.

Ooh Games Workshop nerd

I’ve never sold a record in my life. I look at what some of my unplayed LPs fetch on Discogs and the likes and am starting to think about selling off a fair chunk of it. I can’t be arsed with the hassle though. I might use Omega auctions instead as there is no postage or dealing with the postal system, PayPal and cunts that way.

Ah no, MtG was very distinct from Games Workshop. Still serious nerd territory :joy:

Have sold a few on here, but nowhere else for similar cunty reasons

I used to spin the odd record but, over the last year or so, I have sold c. 50 rare records, that people have been missing / desperately wanted at what they cost me or less.

Must be going soft in my old age.

A bit of an off-beam selection.

Basically paying back stuff on heavy streaming rotation.

The last album of the six in Bowies Amazing Live Adventures was released on Friday. I got straight on it when the email notification arrived but the 2LP was already sold out, There must have been a delay between the album going live and the email. Anyway, I ordered a bundle which meant paying £25 for a T shirt I don’t really want so I could get the LP at retail. I was lucky to get a restocked box for the set which took a bit of the sting out of it I guess.

Limited editions can fuck off. It’s all so fucking stupid, just sell enough to satisfy the fans and spoil it for the flippers - I’m happy, they sell more and the flippers are up shit creek. Everyone that matters wins!
