Last performance on record for both June Carter and Johnny Cash. June Carter died 4 months before its release and Johnny just days after the release.
We had that played at our wedding. My wife’s choice but you can’t argue with a great song.
Both classics Gareth
Well I’ll be . . . an actual decent sounding record from 4 Men With Beards (4 Men Without Ears)
The Art Ensemble Of Chicago - Fanfare For The Warriors
That Atlantis album looks intriguing Gareth - I’ve never really got on with Nicola Conte but MPS is a superb label so might give it a listen
Here is some info from my local record store on the sound quality of this album …
“just to be aware the first track ‘intro’ on the new London Grammar album clicks and pops throughout (digitally as well) even bleeding into track two the very Massive Attack ‘Californian Soil’ … the wee tricksters…”
I hope it’s better than the last one which was an utter borefest.
Scourge of hifi shows…
If the hole is within 3cm of the centre of the record it will improve on the first one.
Track 3 side 2, all my love, has it all the way through, including a “warp bump” noise.
I really, really, really hate it when bands/producers pull this trick. Shame because overall it’s a good album with nice SQ. Cunts.
CUNTS!!!
They’ve ALL been borefests, tbh.
