What albums have you bought lately?

According to the Vintage Knob, the sixty 240v models that were imported into the UK were supplied with a ‘Resinamic Sound’ plinth in a battleship grey. From the armboard and the recess for the level at the front right in the photo that you posted, I think your deck is a UK model.

The plinth feels like smooth cold stone. You may be able to strip it back to a decent finish. It may even withstand machine polishing if the finish needs restoring after stripping. Worst case scenario would be to repaint. Here’s a photo of my deck before I sold the plinth.

Edit: if your deck is not 240v you may indeed have a black plinth underneath the paint.

I’m expecting this to be black originally as I think it’s 100v

I would agree.

It’s been a while… so here!

A couple from the BBC gramophone auctions that happened earlier in the year. An old 1958 riverside pressing, and a copy of “replicas” I got for free when buying other stuff, as oddly, I don’t have a copy!

Might pick up Walk across the rooftops as I only have it on CD.

I have the rest on vinyl from either original release, re-releases.

A little pricey which is putting me off.

Cheaper from the band site, so will order off there.

Not had mine yet

I have a copy of Blue Nile you can have at a reasonable price. Played once, so NM/NM

Ah, that a shame. Ordered off the band store this afternoon.

However suspect others would be interested.

Sorry, but I’ve only just seen your post.

I might be interested. I never had hats played too much in Doug Brady hifi. Never listened to it since then so would be good to hear again … i think

OK. Pauls link says £38+ £5 postage, so how does £30 posted sound ?

CD. Available on vinyl too, but little point as almost certainly a digital recording. Also consists of one 42.15 minute track. One for progsters to tap their feet to, lengthwise?

Turned up for pennies a couple of weeks ago. Can’t see that I’ll ever play it,so just bought it for the cover

If you had an LP12 you’d hear tunes all the way through.

I’ve stuck with them but they’ve never quite regained the heights of These Four Walls.
Great album cover though.
X.

Got that. Have a small stash of sound effects records. I don’t know why.

Wasn’t for years after its release that I realised where the jam got the idea for the cover of sound affects

Musique Pour L’Image No 35 by Vincent Geminiani

The latest Trunk Records release of an ultra rare French library album and one of his favourite library records of all time.

I definitely have more sound effects records than Jam records, of which I have none.
