More records I don’t need.
Ordered three LP set of course.
Cd for me. Not doing the 3 records at 45 speed lark.
Yea, it all gets a bit silly. I think I’m going to swerve this one and wait for the Live Album.
This one ?
That’s old news now. And I ignored that as why would you when the album is new. Who needs it live so close to the release.
Might listen to it one day but live stuff is always disappointing to me if you have the studio album to hand. Few exceptions.
Disappointing lack of Extreme Noise Terror remix
Yep, I did’t bother either.
3 LP set appears to be additional mixes, not a 45rpm pressing. Including 65daysofstatic and Mogwai.
How the F did I miss that ?
Thanks, ordered.
Whereas I love Live and BBC / Peel type sessions, not so much other band remixes. Each to their own I guess.
They are still played at 33 rpm. They were mastered at half-speed, which should produce a better sound quality.
I adore that Alice in Chains album.
I initially thought it was Dirt but now see it’s MTV Unplugged. Both class.
I always liked it but hadn’t realized just how good it sounded until I heard it on vinyl recently. The prices are crazy though. £300 for an original copy. Coincidentally I managed to get a reissue today for a lot less than that but it may well be on the RSD list next year for more sensible money as it is the 30th anniversary. I’m too impatient to wait until then just on the off chance though.
I’ve been using Nutshell as a test track for years, but the whole album is extremely well recorded. Forget Eric Clapton or Nirvana, this was the finest MTV Unplugged album.
Soft spot for the Pearl Jam MTV Unplugged too.
Has anyone heard the 40th Anniversary version of Physical Graffiti ? My old copy is fecked so I need to get a new copy and was wondering if the 40th version sounds decent.
