Neptunian Maximalism – Set Chaos To The Heart Of The Moon Live At Roadburn 2021
Splurge
Replacing an album from my first record collection that went missing in the 80s. It’s a UK first pressing in mint condition that cost the princely sum of £8 plus postage. If only jazz albums were so inexpensive!
This was my purchase from the Brizzle record shop yesterday. Decided against asking for it to be played at the show as it would probably have been a full on room (if not show) clearer.
@murrayjohnson I was wrong, the existing Rubbra album was actually sponsored by sherry rather than cigars.
This was the matchbox brand that often seemed to have jokes from Perkins Diesel Reminder which I assumed was some ‘in house’ Perkins magazine but maybe not.
For some bizarre reason, I used to collect matchboxes when I was a kid (still can’t figure out why) I had loads of Bryant and May ones.
Not all of them had witticisms from PDR on the back did they? But a lot seemed to.
No they didn’t all have those backs.
I dare bet my Dad has still got them in his loft, he doesn’t throw anything away!
That has taken care of any doubts about filling your time in retirement.
Should keep you going into your 90s ![]()
I guess it’s pretty sad he’ll not get to record 2, the 12 cds and the blu ray…
I thought my Miles Davis Complete On The Corner Sessions was going it bit at 6 CDs…
