Because Budapest reasons - very nice it is too
Having a glass of port from a bottle that’s been lurking in a cupboard unopened for 20 years. I’m no expert but it’s decent.
With LBV the maturing is done in the barrel so despite it being ready to drink pretty much straight after bottling, it should remain stable with a good seal.
LBV isn’t really made to lay down. Now you’ve opened it, it will start to oxidise, and you’ve got about 2 weeks to drink it, on the assumption it was filtered LBV. If it was unfiltered LBV, then up to about 10 days.
If you’ve got s vacuum stopper, I’d use that and possibly keep it in the fridge depending on the ambient temperature.
In other words do the bottle
Local brew this time
Good swag is dat
Twisted Knots IPA. It’s a Lidl special, it’s 99p a can and it’s damn good!
A gift from Pete (Cobbler) - made by one of his old friends who moved to France and set up his own vineyard.
Very nice it is too.
I like the white label stuff when it’s reduced from a tenner, this was reduced to a tenner and it’s definitely a step up.
A rather nice Hungarian red I had while in Hungary funnily enough
the Staropramen Dark was excellent - the Krusovice was drinkable
Where’d you get that Staro Dark from Allan? Wouldn’t mind trying that.
In Budpest Rob but I’ll need to keep an eye out for it.
Also tried this which was nice as well
