TGI Friday’s food is salty shite, but the cider is actually quite nice…
What happened to just gin, now it’s alcopop gin
Just having my first crack at doing a Manhattan cocktail.
Using Woodford Reserve Rye & Regans No 6 Orange bitters with Rosso/red medium sweet Vermouth. Along with a twist of Orange & Maraschino cherry.
Having a bit of a play with various vermouth combinations so I have it pretty nailed on advance of next Weds, when I have my mate Chris over fer a music & cocktails night.
There is pretty much scope fer endless mucking around with a Manhattan, but using a decent rye whiskey as a base should have me off ter a good start. I have some of this arriving on Mon to give me even more choice.
Nom!!
do you do delivery?
Bravo!
Whose cherries do you use?
Just Opies at the mo, only choice to source locally at short notice.
First stab, not bad, but second attempt using Cinzano Blanco which I’m not a fan of as a mixer with soft drinks is very good indeed, otherwise the method & rest of ingredients exactly the same.
Just 'ad another sip & this is v good indeed!!
I will prolly move onto a couple of Old Fashioned’s to see the night out.
Actually about to do exactly that next, but in an Old Fashioned. See how it compares to Wild Turkey 101in this form, as that makes a superb basis fer an Old Fashioned.
