I would describe it as a real return to form. It is the strongest LP since Let It Come Down both in terms of the production values and the songwriting. I am no blind fanboi here. I actively dislike much of the last 3 LPs. Really looking forward to the gig on 21st now.

Yep, me too, hence the reluctance to buy before hearing it. Also the notion that he recorded this at home rather than the studio didn’t inspire confidence either.
