I didnât realise Ceremony was a JD tune until Still came out about 15 months later, despite buying the 7" on the day of release. The original version of In A Lonely Place is one of my favourite tunes of all time though.
I thought all the singles up to and including Temptation were great, didnât much like the next three but loved Perfect Kiss, after which they were pretty much done as a live act for me and, Technique apart, never really did much of issue again.
You silly boyâŚ
Got a new catch phrase Olan ?
Everything s Gone Green is an awesome song.
No. I am being polite and also using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V a lot.
Thank You
Saw them play the other night at the Liverpool Olympia. They were great (and astonishingly loud). That LP is a particularly good record.
Mogwai, another band (yet another) band that I never got first time around.
A good starting point anybody ?
Iâm rebelling
The Central Belters compilation is a great starting point if youâve missed the lot. Mogwai Young Team is my favourite of their LPs. Rave Tapes is great, as is Government Commissions. The only LP I didnât much like was Mr Beast.
I wasnât blown away when I first bought it. But since thenâŚ
Central Belters it is then.
This is where it all started for me
Good thing, as itâs ÂŁ250 on vinyl
Guilty
It should have stayed that way. Sumner didnât even know what Curtis was singing never mind what he was feeling.
How many ? FFS, not a band to collect then !
