What we do in the shadows - the BBC series based on the film, fucking hilarious
Recorded Free Solo the other night (first mentioned some hundreds or thousands of posts above, I think). Iāve started watching it a couple of times. Then I get vertigo. Even though I know how it must end.
Thereās a lovely clip early on where heās being interviewed and the interviewer says āWhat I donāt understand is, that youāre attempting this extremely difficult exercise and yet you know that if you make even one single error you are likely to fall to your deathā. And Honnold replies āYeah, actually you seem to understand it pretty well ā¦ā
Simply. Unhinged.

The cat scan kind of confirmed that spider man needs to push to such extremes just to feel alive. Iām guessing the average man would consider what he does to be insane and selfish in equal measure. I donāt think t is so simple, it is however a great pity his amygdala cant instigate the heart thumping orgasmic pulse explosion that comes from a decent Bakewell.
Going for a curry in Leicester and running out without paying is just as dangerous and doesnāt require such fancy shoes.

Britainās Greatest Comedian
I was expecting it to be very funny, so far itās just hard work. Needs to improve significantly now theyāre into the top 20
Aquaman, fuckinā hell itās shit
Canāt be as shit as Rocket Man the Elton John movie I watched last week.
They fucking ride sharks. Sharks. They ride them. Fucking epic.
But yeah, itās not greatā¦
Seriously shit format and, as I said earlier, hard work, especially as it went on for 3 hours.
Still, it had one massive redeeming feature. It voted Stan Laurel as the winner.
Fully deserved as the greatest comic of any age you care to mention, IMO.
It was still a shit way to spend 3 hours though
Scarface.
Dredd
Brilliant performance.
Never seen it. I guess someone has to be best at scarves but, well, meh ā¦

Senna with Sam.
The Natural.
Weāve been watching the 2 parts of the Storyville Brexit documentaries, basically a fly on the wall view from Guy Verhovstadtās office.
Theyāve been funny, fascinating & horrifying too. Itās evident that Olly Robbins & co were fairly pragmatic trying to get the most sensible outcome they could but that David Davis & later Raab werenāt really in that loop much & were out of touch with the processes and tone by which the negotiations were carried out. Well worth a look though. Verhovstadt is a likeable character with a keen interest in racing old cars & making wine.
