Just watched that scene. Was it originally in black and white? I assumed it was. I’ve never watched it but always wanted to. Will have to hunt it down.
Says Technicolor on the poster
Probably one of the last 3 strip films, they still look fantastic.
Watched the clip, now feel a rising urge for R.Soles
It’s on Amazon Prime if you do that sort of thing.
Definitely filmed in Technicolour and I think it was one of the first Widescreen movies and does look great. Apart from the outdoor scenes obviously filmed in a studio. A classic if you like Westerns, wordy and maybe a little slow…
Thanks. I’ll give it a watch.
In.
Fucking awful.
I was mistaken when I said I’d seen EOTW before. Thought it was a Simon Pegg film!
Wife is happy as she is invariably too tired for a film and we don’t want to get into a 20 part series. At 20 minutes these are easy to just watch and not worry.
Also in Dolby Vision which we are still finding a bit odd: perspective all a little emphasised and colours very vivid bit almost video game like.
Proper funny in parts, but like you say it’s throw away (chic flick) fun.
This is on next week.
Is it a fly on the wall documentary?
Watched a couple of the new series of Altered Carbon last night and a few of S2 Drive to Survive.

Purple satin poncho want
Purple Poncho nnnn-nineteen protection?
I’d forgotten how he gets the poncho actually, for most of the movie he isn’t wearing it. He gets it just before the frankly marvelous graveyard scene. The 2 hr 58 min HD version on Prime looks incredible.
First 2 episodes were promising. Better than the BBC effort anyway.
Better Call Saul season 5. Consistently brilliant.
ZZ Top: That little old band from Texas.
Tonight at 9.00
Bicentennial Man.
Never seen it before…
