What I'm watching (Part 1)

The Apartment is a masterpiece. I bought the DVD a few months ago, must get the player connected and watch it soon, it’s been a long time.

It’s absolutely superb. Agree also that it’s a bit slow to get going, but definitely stick with it. Almost overpoweringly good by the time it concludes, and it concludes so perfectly as well, so you’re left satisfied.

Very informative documentary about Frank Lloyd Wright with the presenter visiting many of his most famous works across the US. Some truly iconic buildings amongst them. Well worth watching.

Awesome. I’ll have to give that a watch. I had no idea until recently about the murder of his partner at their estate.

No that was news to me aswell. But what a lifespan too. From the American civil war to the space age

Watched a documentary on water in California yesterday and the Enron ‘smartest guys in the room’ film today. Really really can’t wait to get free of the EU and let the market loose in its full glory

I’m sure I read somewhere that most of them ended up at JP Morgan and the like, went swimmingly until 2008.

Plenty of crooked bank involvement in Enron, but they got away with it as usual

What I mean is, the banks were so impressed with what they got away with at Enron they ended up being snapped up. Because yay market manipulation!

Jackie Brown. It’s highly rated, but I don’t think that he builds the same tension in this one compared to the Hateful Eight.

I’ve always thought it’s more an homage to Blaxploitation films than anything else but feck all that it has Pam Grier playing a The Delfonics album in it.
