What I'm watching (Part 1)

We went to watch some of it when the circus came to Plymouth a few years ago. Great entertainment in winds of 50 knots. I was surprised by how quickly they could pick up speed having made a tight turn. Plenty capsized too. :+1:

Last night the Expanse.

Andrew Marr, New Elizabethans. Some interesting choices and good source of pub quiz material. i never knew that the UK ruled the roost when it came to making TV adverts and that one of the leaders of that pack was one Ridley Scott. Nor that he was responsible for that Hovis ad with the lad on the bike going up that cobbled street hill (Shaftesbury Dorset as it turns out).

Fire in the booth on YT.

This is bizarre:

I was just watching HIGNFY when I heard the words that get you scrambling for the remote just in case you accidently see some of it.

“Coming up next - Mrs Browns’ Boys”

I read soemwhere that they’ve agreed to continue that utter shite until 2016.

If that’s the standard of entertainment (yeah, I know) we are to be subjected to then there’s no fucking hope!

Neil Brand the sound of TV.

The Story of Fairytale of New York. BBC4

It’s officially Christmas.

If only it had finished then.

We have the same feelings of panic and revulsion if we hear the opening bars of the One Show. C4 news has to be on by then or the funk lasts hours.

While I’ve been at home, Claire has taken to coming into my room and commandeering my telly, on the pretext of spending time with me. She loves all the A place in the country and escape to the sun type stuff.

Tonight I had to sit through the the one show, she was swooning because it had Gary Barlow and Ronan Keating on it. I teased her by saying Keating was jailbait and subsequently had to sort out my own pizza.

At least that way there’s no pineapple risk.

Only FoL#1 Ellie thinks that is an acceptable pizza ingredient. She is weird though.

I trust you have disowned her.

I had totally forgot that we were at the The Pogues gig in the Barrowlands in Dec 87 when they persuade Kirsty McColl to sing it live for the very first time. :+1:
