What I'm watching (Part 1)

saw that on imdb the other and keep meaning to watch it, I think it was on Netflix?

Yeah

On Prime

Been meaning to have a look - any good Bob?

Got up to ep 3, it’s hard work TBH. Not sure what it’s trying to be, almost a Dante’s Inferno with the 9 circles of hell in reverse. Not sure if it’s trying too hard to tell a story In a different way.

Just finished Love, Death and Robots (Netflix) with FoL#2 Lauren. Generally good, but a few real gems in there.

Zombie fun

And Black Summer series two comes to Netflix on 17 June.

Zombie Tiger!

They used a Thea Gilmore cover of Bad Moon Rising in that film.
She found out it about when a friend sent a message to say she had heard the song.
Thea knew nothing about it and got paid nothing.

All legit as she doesn’t own the copyright on the recording.

I wondered why they didn’t use the original. Mind you, the Cranberries provided the obvious play out track.

Watching ‘a monster in Paris’ with FoL2. Fun little film

Mein Gott…Waded through the Appalling script ( or lack thereof ) Forced Eytaliano accents and turgid acting up until the Matrix esk gunfight in subterainian Rome saw the body count outstrip The Charge Of The Light Brigade…Then turned it OFF

Yeah, that’s much of what is great about the John Wick franchise. What’s the problem?

Ahhhhhhhh… I hadn’t realised it was supposed to be quite that pants…tho I have just watched the second half…
Most likely KR’s finest piece of acting since his Johnathan Haker in Dracula

Watched this the other night, found it a bit rubbish and too predictable. Should have been a lot better.

Considerably darker than his usual fare, it seems Guy Ritchie is on some kind of hormone replacement therapy such is the level of testosterone in this ‘shoot just about everybody film’. Suspending disbelief is impossible. The brooding unwavering revenge angle has been done over and again, to be fair Statham plays a convincingly determined character. There is no cheeky chappie, no throw away banter in this story and it wouldn’t fit it there were. (Revenge apparently is not a bag of laughs.) All in quite watchable but not the best thing the director or lead man has ever done. 7/10

Justice league

The 4:3 is really bloody good on a big telly.

On Sky docs;

Vincenzo - in Korean with subtitles.
Each episode is quite long but that’s good because it’s been excellent so far (I’m on ep.4).
It’s on Netflix (at least in France).
