There’s a company in SA that makes them to the original spec, so much so they’re classed as a continuation not a replica.
Cost is around £165,000 for a fully built mk2 which considering what it is and the work involved is bonkers.
Watched this last night, great film.
Daughter quite enjoyed it, I didn’t.
I read a lot of DC and Marvel comics as a kid and they were dark, moody and thought provoking. I don’t understand why the films have to be so farcical. Christopher Nolan managed to make three Batman films that kept those themes but every superhero film now is just a barrage of CGI and shit humour.
Definitely think they tried to beef up the humor over the 1st Suicide Squad (not always successfully.) Don’t really have much to add to this conversation as I was lost for several hours in a deep and positively creative reverie
It’s not a noir comic film, it’s just fun.
I loved it. It was stupid and innovative and despite sagging a bit it was better than most comedies and held my attention.
Crass, but much better than the previous one.
But the Suicide Squad comics were really quite dark.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, I would just like screenplays written with more of the skill that the comics had.
I couldn’t find a way to love it. It was ok, but not actually that funny or fun, or dark or interesting. It did have its moments, granted, but it just seemed a bit lame.
The Marvel franchise seems to be much better than DC, Nolan films aside. While I’m not a huge fan, Kevin Feige seems to have managed the whole series really well.
DC were definitely the king of the comic book wars but the Marvel films are better, if still not great.
This is a big point. The original writers created something, and then it should be possible to make it even better with new people and perspective. But they often fail quite badly, despite so many advantages.
And the original writers earned a pittance from the film of their characters. There’s no justice in this league.
Marvel is waaaaaay ahead on films.
This script was just a bit of a one off laugh. I liked GotG so maybe it’s just tuned to my sense of humour. There aren’t many funny film that are funny these days, but this worked more often than most.
I hated the first one. I didn’t watch it to compare to source material, it was just an easy night in.
I was always a Marvel fanboy as I liked the fallability that seemed to be a trait of many of its characters whether hero or villain.
I have 20 boxes of Marvel from 60s to 90s. Probably only a couple of boxes with DC and one of those is ‘No Man’s Land’ Batman crossover doing a kind of Gotham/ Escape From New York storyline.
Loving Fargo at the moment. Perfect for nights when I can’t get to sleep and I need to watch something to realise my life isn’t so tough after all (I don’t have anyone looking for me carrying a sawn-off shotgun, for example).

I couldn’t stand the denial sulk from my youngest any longer. She was miffed as fuck at not being able to go to see Suicide Squad, so took her to see Black Widow today, in contrast to what few reviews I’ve seen, I actually thought it wasn’t too bad. RW was shite, shame because his character was a proper twat and could have been more of an asset to the plot with a better casting. Still gotta be better than a giant Alien Haribo.

It took me a fair time to parse that, as Rachel Weisz was fairly shite but her character wasn’t really much of a twat.
This. For the third time. Some of the performances on here are just off the charts. How could this have been lost and forgotten

The car crash lake District grand design. It all ended up in legal and financial disputes. Last time I read up on it someone was trying to make a go of it as a BnB/holiday let and I think that failed too.
Started watching Jubilee last night.
