Billy Joel now.
He had some bangers! When he is good he’s great.
Very well made film and some lovely performances, I enjoyed it to an extent but the futility of sectarianism overshadowed everything else and just left me in a state of the sad.
Landmark films I’m watching for the first time #37
Weird as fuck in parts, but I enjoyed it. Great soundtrack too!
Amsterdam. It got panned but I loved it for the reason most critics hated it. It meanders and goes all over the place slowly but I couldn’t help fall in love with how sumptuous it looked and the overall sentiment of valuing love and friendship over all else.

I thought it was great!
Intriguing, extremely sad in parts and thought provoking. Maybe some of what they suggest is bollox but who really knows the truth?
Not usually a fan of “animated” films but I’ll make an exception for this one. Post impressionist cartoons ftw.
Well worth a watch.
I’ll look out for it Kev ![]()
hopefully this afternoon when I can’t be arsed doing any work
Have you seen Wild at Heart? if not, that should be next.
No, I’ll put it on the list ![]()
Best watch that before getting into the really odd ones like Mulholland Drive & Lost Highway!
Do not watch Inland Empire, even if you’re a Lynch fan. All the reviews of films you see that say I wish I could get my time back, this is the one for me.
I’ve just read the synopsis ![]()
Is it ok (i.e. ethical, legal) to watch on the link above? I can’t see it on other providers.
Genuine question. I’d like to watch it but I don’t want to crap on someone’s intellectual rights.
Looks to have been posted by the film company so I’d say you’re ok.
Watched that tonight, loved it!
Spike Milligan: The Unseen Archive.
Much as Spike lived his life; outwardly funny, but with a deeply disturbing undercurrent.
