What I'm watching (Series 2)

Something completely different.
Freeview channel 91 Wild Earth - basically gamekeepers/wardens riding around in a landrover finding animals in South African game reserves. Lovely seeing the animals in their natural habitat behaving, well, er, naturally.

Tinternet has been off all day at home.
Off to cinema to see Saltburn. Seems best of a bad bunch. Can’t be arsed with 3 hour films unless at home.

Hope it is reasonably sort of adequate.

Be interested to hear how you get on with it. I’ve seen the trailer several times and am in two minds as to whether I’d find it interesting or self indulgent. Looking forward to Napoleon this coming week. That’s supposed to be good.

I liked it. (Saw an early screening)

Feeling better about it already.

Was threatened with staying in a playing scrabble.
So owt will do really.

Lol, given that option Ad Astra would probably do.

Actually, I’d take the Scrabble.

Wifey thought it was quite strange, but it got better.

Up to episode 7 now. Look who’s shown up

Have to say this show is enjoyably addictive. The use of ‘flashbacks’ to continually add meat to the bone whilst nothing new is done rather well here. In revision to initial thoughts there are several fresh ideas that for the most part work. Tension builds rapidly as they have cast, written and sculpted an unnervingly unhinged and dangerous antagonist. (Limp baddies can ruin a film - see last Bond)
Binge worthy, just suspend all disbelief )

Its staggering isn’t it. I spent years at school learning about the fucking Romans but nothing about indigenous history and culture, or the vile crimes committed against them. Shameful.

Not much has changed re: the recent defeat of the Voice referendum,

I am apoplectic with rage thinking about how Straya and Strayans wag their collective fingers at other nations over human rights abuses, but refuses to take a long hard look at itself.

Sky Arts tonight has two shows about New Order. There is a 30 minute introducing New Order at 8:30 followed by a 90 minute documentary about the recording of the Power, Corruption and Lies album.

White House Down. Absolute fcking shite. Makes Olympus Has Fallen look like high art. Acting is of a standard Prisoner Cell Block H would have demanded a retake. Don’t waste 90 mins of your life you will never get back. 2/10 is me being generous.

Movie night
