It isn’t the worst film ever but how do you follow I & II ?
Still worth watching if you’re into the storyline, a few closures and a few far-fetched moments, just not up to the standard of the others.

Slow Horses Series 3 - just finished. Excellent.
Reacher Series 2 - One episode in. A bit slow.
The Nice Guys - Spoof detective movie with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. Good fun.

Perhaps there’s some benefit in watching all three in succession over three evenings, because this wasn’t anything like so bad as I’d expected. Not as good, sure, but it preserved much the same feel, cinematography, production values, &c., which was welcome
Not so restrained as the first two, more hyperbolic in places, but that probably says more about audience expectations 16 years after the last movie than anything else.

Watched this last night.
A promising young drummer enrolls at a cut-throat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student’s potential.
Superb, got three Oscars back in 2015. Well deserved best supporting actor win for J.K. Simmons as the ferociously tough instructor who will stop at nothing including physical & emotional abuse of his students.
Obviously one for the Jazz - Heads here, but a great film that has wider appeal than its seemingly quite niche subject matter.
Available on both Amacuntz Prime video & Netflix.
Firmly recommended!!

Much better than the 6.8 on IMDb would suggest. Had a bit of a lump in my throat at times.
Had the potential to be a good origin story if it wasn’t for the sulky, whinging teenagers who seem to be having permanent tantrums.

Really enjoyed the first half. Thought the second half was clumsy, and not consistent with, or explained properly within the main narrative.
Worth it, though.

Thought the first 3 seasons were good and then it ran out of story

I’m not as avid a motor racing fan as many here but I really enjoyed this. There is a decent plot, good acting, plenty of drama and the racing sequences seem very well done. Recommended.
