I think that I watched all afternoon and then went to a friends in the evening. I think acid may have been involved.

As I woz living in Straya, it was late at night but sat through the whole thing. I took the night off work (I was running my own business).
It was World event. Or it felt like one. I was gripped by Phil Collins (a long time hero) performing in London then jumping on Concorde to perform in New York (or Philadelphia).
I wasn’t really into commercial music but was in thrall of the whole thing. The energy. The cause. The emotion.
It was a defining moment.
