What I'm watching (Series 2)

Next on our list!!

Flintoff cricket thing on Beeb 1. Interesting.

We watched Pt 1 of C4’s drama Undeclared War which seems very topical & so far, nicely done. Pt2 tonight.

Speaking of which - I can’t wait to see this

Apart from being terminally Murcan with a side order of Testosterone, the story line (Whilst impossible) is quite engaging pre nap. The first few episodes use some devices to unsettle perceptions around the main character. The ongoing jeopardy is somewhat of a mixed bag.
All together it’s a bit like Rambo trying to be clever.

It’s an eye opener.
I get riled when I see armchair critics getting whipped up into a frenzy on half baked internet news

And I have often been slated for doubting the “consensus” on some issues.
This series takes you places where you question where the truth lies and who is to blame.

It’s extremes, but extremes on where we are very much at now.

If only we had half of your wisdom and restraint, Steve.

An absolute classic.

Being only just in the world when it first aired this is my first run through, but it definitely is. Way more nuance than the film (which isn’t exactly shabby) and boy, there is some talent in the cast.

I’ve just started watching it again myself for the umpteenth time and nuanced is a very good way to describe it. :ok_hand:

Fantastic.

Very much recorded in the way it was played on the recent tour. A must see for anyone who enjoys the last 2 albums. Burning, raw emotion.
You can get a free 7 day trial of Mubi and its in lovely 4K

As an allegory for the human condition, after a death, I think Ghosteen is a genuine masterpiece.

Whatever, this is beautifully directed, and keeps surprising.

In a change from his usual comic hero based film diet, today I took Harry to see this which we both really enjoyed.
